My first formal steps into Bayesian stats. Following along with the 2026 course.
As difficult as everyone says it is. Rewarding at parts.
Gothic, psychological, with a very compressed atmosphere. Love the movie and am happy to have finally read the book.
A biting criticism of aristocracy with a rotating cast of characters. Feels modern for sure.
Required reading to understand the continued failure of reconstruction.
An absolute surprise. Hard-hitting noir. Stunning with excellent writing.
More difficult than anticipated, and less cutting, but still happy to have read it.
Not as polished as Stoner, but the writing is still tight. Good subversion of Western masculinity & domination narratives.
Interesting narrative. Understand the buzz for sure.
So much better than the movie. Psychological, tightly written, & thrilling.
Winding, complex, a little uneven, but totally amazing.
Happy to have read it but it didn’t hit like I expected.
Funny, Unusual, Weird, and so Gay. Uniquely American.
Finally had a chance to read it. Fun for sure.
Pretty fanatical about the movie. Happy to have finally read the book.
Excellent gift, excellent book.
Always loved Steinbeck and happy to have finished this classic. Powerful all the way through.
My third read through, and the first where I feel like I understand what is really happening. Philosophical, modern, relevant.
The first two thirds were great, the last, not so much. Still a good read.
Necessary to understand American diplomacy. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Weird and wonderful. Maybe more relevant now in the world of AI than when it was written.
